The BraunX (Angus × Braunvieh) is a structured composite designed to combine Angus marbling, fertility, and market acceptance with Braunvieh maternal strength, growth, structural soundness, and carcass yield. The result is a uniform, black, polled beef animal that excels in maternal efficiency, weaning weight, feedlot performance, and grid value while maintaining adaptability and longevity in commercial production systems.

How it works

  • 1.Criteria

    1. Blood percentage- minimum 60% Braunvieh AGM up to bottom side of Purebred.
    2. DNA verified Homo Polled/ Homo Black.
    3. Outcross must come from a registered Angus Dam or Sire.
    4. Can have up to 12% "other" from the Braunvieh side. 
    5. DNA verification of parentage and listed traits will turn an animal into BraunX (BX) once criteria is verified.
